Starting in March, Share Sydney will be held every two months – always free and open to everyone wishing to participate, or just come along and see what’s happening in the local world of technology-based creative performance. In keeping with the global Share philosophy, Share Sydney is all about meeting new people and sharing ideas and tools. There is no boundary between audience and performers, and everyone wishing to take part in the collaborative audiovisual jam session should be willing to discuss their work with beginners and battle-hardened tech nerds alike.
Most of all, Share Sydney is an opportunity for those working creatively with digital tools to collaborate in an informal and welcoming environment. To explore new ideas, meet new people and exchange knowledge openly. Join our Facebook group to keep up to date with events as they’re announced… http://facebook.com/groups/sharesydney

Killcouture seeks to reform the traditional club night into more of a social collaboration in which people are woven together with art, music and culture into an expanding, open-minded community, not afraid to share their thoughts through different mediums of communication.
Next event 2nd September:
Plug N Play Melbourne gathers together a range of experimental artists / musicians / video-makers / animators / digital + analogue media manglers.
Plug N Play events tend to be about bringing together creative peers in an informal way, as much as they are about actual performance + exhibiting.
Last Thursday of each month – Audio-visual Jams @ KENT ST Cafe, 201 Smith St Fitzroy.
Melbourne has always been known for its Culture and thriving Arts scene and the same could be said about Video Arts. In the last few years fresh and engaging events have stepped up to bring new media and experimental live performance events to the forefront of the City.
Among such events is Racket, a dedicated night put on by a group of dynamic and diverse but like minded people who push Melbourne’s experimental audio/visual scene forward on a monthly basis. Taking place on the First Thursday of every Month@Miss Libertines, you can experience Audio and Visual elements from a wide scope of talanted and amazing artists from widespread backgrounds that showcase a striking diversity of media and performances.
